The Social Hall is open for rental to members and non-members of the Congregation for events on any day, subject to availability.
All catering must be by a Kosher caterer under Orthodox supervision. The acceptability of the caterer is the sole discretion of the Congregation. A list of approved caterers can be found here.
As an Orthodox congregation, the Sabbath must be respected. This would preclude any deliveries, photography, live music, use of microphones, smoking, lighting of candles, etc. The Congregation will have the final say in such matters. All party decorations, balloons, floral arrangements, etc… must be delivered and constructed before the Sabbath.
All functions to be held Saturday evening may not begin until one full hour after the Sabbath is over. It is the renter’s responsibility to inform all vendors that they may enter the building only after the Sabbath is over and not before.
A refundable security deposit of $200 is due 10 days before the event to insure against damage, and to insure that the kitchen and Social Hall are left clean.
50% of the total cost is due upon the signing of the agreement. The balance is due at least three days before the scheduled event. If payment is not received, the event will not take place.
Charges for the rental of the Social Hall for a Shabbat Kiddush are waived if all Congregants are invited.
Depending on the scope of the event a Mashgiach must be present at all functions where food is being served or prepared. The renter will assume the additional cost that will be payable to the congregation.
There will be additional fees if caterers use the kitchen for food preparation that is usually done in the caterer’s commissary.
No home made food and no packaged food without a proper Hashgacha (list available) is allowed within the Congregation’s premises.
The congregation reserves the right to inspect and/or reject any serving food and/ or packages that is determined to be unsuitable by the Congregation’s Resident Mashgiach.
The host is responsible for complete cleanup of the social hall and the kitchen area immediately after their function. This is especially relevant when the Social Hall is rented a Friday night, as the Hall has to be ready for Shabbat Kiddush. The host has the option to acquire the congregation’s service for this purpose at the additional stated cost.
